Management retreat in the Horowhenua

In late December 2015, Whakauae managers held a rural retreat near Otaki.  The purpose of the retreat was to reflect on 2015 organisational activity and to plan for 2016.  The retreat included consideration of:

  • The re-integration of the Director on her return from sabbatical;
  • Marking ten years since the establishment of Whakauae;
  • Initial planning for Whakauae's second Research Symposium;
  • Continued participation at Iwi Chairs' Forums; and,
  • Exploring professional development opportunities for Whakauae staff.

The next planning session will take place in February 2016 and will be facilitated by Kataraina Pipi, a highly experienced PATH facilitator.
