I am proud to join Whakauae Research Services Ltd as an Associate Director and am passionate about contributing to kaupapa that improve outcomes for whānau, hapū and iwi. As a proud uri of Mōkai Pātea and Maniapoto, I am driven by opportunities that support Māori aspirations and leave a positive legacy for future generations.
Alongside this role, I work for Fonterra Co-operative Group where I have held senior leadership positions spanning operations, sustainability, decarbonisation, stakeholder engagement, and Māori strategy. Over more than a decade, I have led and supported strategic partnerships between iwi and industry, helping establish relationships founded on trust, shared values, and long-term mutual benefit. My work has focused on integrating te ao Māori into organisational strategy and decision-making, while creating opportunities for greater collaboration between Māori and the dairy sector.
More recently, I have played a key role in advancing Fonterra's decarbonisation and renewable energy ambitions, working alongside iwi partners, energy developers and industry leaders to explore innovative investment opportunities that contribute to Aotearoa's transition to a low-emissions future. I am particularly interested in how Māori economic development, environmental sustainability, and intergenerational thinking can work together to create enduring outcomes for future generations.
Outside of mahi, I enjoy spending time with my wife Zoe and our tamariki, Millie Te Maire and Quinn Poutama, as well as hunting, fishing, and te reo Māori revitalisation.
