After many years of hard work, the Mōkai Pātea Waitangi Claims Trust mandate has been accepted by the Crown. The Trust is a confederation of four iwi; Ngāti Hauiti, Ngāti Tamakōpiri, Ngāti Whitikaupeka and Ngāi Te Ohuake.
